Muscle Basin calisthenics gym in London E15

Muscle Basin has its roots in the calisthenics park at nearby Shadwell Basin, where Muscle Basin founders started their own calisthenics journey. The guys have competed at international level and delivered calisthenics workshops all around the world, so you’ll be in good hands when you train there.

It’s the UK’s first fully segregated calisthenics gym, created to help the Islamic community access all the benefits of training and healthy lifestyle.

“The pandemic had crushed fitness goals and threatened many people’s physical and mental wellbeing,” said Muscle Basin’s co-founder Nahimul Islam. “We wanted to inspire and educate our local community and the global calisthenics community about the beauty of keeping fit through calisthenics.”

Why we support Muscle Basin calisthenics gym London

Muscle Basin gym has amazing equipment and top calisthenics coaches. But the most important thing about Muscle Basin is its ethos and sense of community. The gym has a clear mission – to bring the health benefits of calisthenics training to the Islamic community in a welcoming way that helps to overcome barriers. The guys at Muscle Basin are working hard to address bigger issues in their community via the power of physical activity, and we love that.

What equipment does Muscle Basin gym London have

Muscle Basin is a calisthenics centre, and you’ll definitely find all the Gravity Fitness calisthenics kit you could want here. But there’s so much more than that. You can work on your cardio, weightlifting, strength, mobility and calisthenics here.

As well as a huge rig, there’s bars, bumper plates, and platforms, benches and squat racks, cardio kit and even a sauna. The gym stocks everything you need – from chalk to belts and bands – so you can leave your gym bag at home and just focus on training.

We also have to mention the Recovery Room, which houses a sauna and ice bath plus aroma oils so you can benefit from hot/cold therapy.
